The film was made for Biograph projection and was shown for the first Biograph system program. The film was also released in the USA in a 25-foot length. A portion or all of this film was edited into The Great Baltimore Fire (1904).

Synopsis: [From American Mutoscope promotional materials] This scene graphically portrays the rescuing of the vehicles and live stock from a burning barn. Through a mist of smoke the horses and cows are let out on a run, vehicles are dragged by, and the rush and excitement of such a scene is vividly shown. Smoke effects of this view are particularly attractive.
